Since 10.4.7 you can use Control mousewheel to zoom, or on a notebook you can use Control two fingers on the trackpad up or down (which is a virtual mousewheel).

Thanks, these are sweet! I've gotten used to the "universal" ones used in Firefox, Photoshop, etc. Being in IT, its always smart to be able to function without a mouse. But going back and forth between my Mac and PC takes a little getting used to :-P
