Ah...isn't Matt Bills the Acentra guy? A little fishy marketing going on here?

Anyway - I've used PhotoMax and they do a superb job. We sent in our grandfather's very old, very delicate photos, and everything turned out great.

Sorry we missed each other at OR -would have enjoyed meeting you :)- Matt and I escaped the busy show after set up and went climbing- yes!....maybe we can meet up sometime sooner than later- climbing hopefully! so.....

I believe I heard of Acentra awhile ago (the concept sounds real familar) at a Speedpitching event, but had forgotten about them. They must not have very good SEO because I actively researched for about a week and never came across their name. Now that I look at their site, it looks like a Salt Lake office is still in the works plus I can't even get the details I am looking for on their website.

I must admit I was super impressed with Fotobridge and would recommend them to anyone. Their website was very easy to use, customer service extremely responsive and so far I am impressed with the quality.

Wow Rachel,
I'm surprised you used Fotobridge; there's a local service called Acentra that goes to your house and scans all of them there. They get done in @2hrs and can do a couple thousand at a time. They've done all of ours as well as our documents (turning them into searchable PDFs). Def cool. check them out...

How did the end product turn out. I used scancafe about 8 months ago but only thought the results were so so on some and good on others. I had a lot of medium format negatives to scan and those were the ones that were so so.
