Wasatch Girl: Any SLC’ers on Twitter?

    second time lucky....

I used this briefly about 5 months ago. I was using Jaiku (www.jaiku.com) at the same time so only had a brief test of Twitter.

Jaiku was based to heavily integrate with Nokia's, hence my decision. Twitter's is Java-based if I remember correctly?

In relation to being more online, I actually found it improved my life (with those who were also using Jaiku, which admittedly was limited).

They only contacted me when I was free (or texted instead), which meant that it actually improved working life. I'm completely sold on the idea. Unfortunately, those in Europe don't have much access to unlimited data plans yet so it's pretty expensive to run!

I tend to agree with your thoughts on another "distracting" IM client. It would take something pretty compelling for me to try another IM service, as MSN and Yahoo! already have such a large user base and a fairly robust feature-set. Also, I'm not sure about an IM service that memorializes every moment of my life.

I tried it out to just to see what it is. I don't see any value in it, though it is pretty cool for about 5 minutes.
